Attaching to Your Flex Shaft
- Confirm the flexible shaft tip extends 3/4" beyond the end of the sheath. Adjust via the set screw in the motor connector if needed.
- Connect the motor to the speed control and plug in. Briefly turn on at half speed, then turn off — the inner key tip will still be rotating for a moment.
- While the key tip is still spinning, hold the outer sheath tip upward and push the handpiece onto it with one firm motion until it snaps into place. The keyway self-aligns automatically.
- Insert an accessory, tighten the collet, and run at low speed to confirm smooth rotation.
- To remove: unplug the machine first, then pull the handpiece off with a firm grip.
Changing Collets
- Insert the provided pin through the pilot hole and spindle hole to lock the spindle.
- Use the wrench to turn the chuck nut counterclockwise and remove it.
- Pull out the old collet (pliers can help) and slip in the new one.
- Replace the chuck nut and tighten with the wrench. Do not over-tighten.
- Remove the pin and pull on the accessory to confirm a secure hold.
Always match the accessory shank size to the collet. Using a shank that is too small or too large will damage the collet permanently.
