- Made from quality tool steel, the cutters are hardened on both hit and work ends. This unique tempering method leaves the shank of the cutter at mill hardness, which allows the handle to absorb the shock of hammering and prevents crystallization of the metal. The applied hardening technique enhances the performance and extends the life of the tool.
