Mark parts in seconds — not minutes. The TauMark S Compact is the fiber laser marking machine that finally makes professional, permanent part marking fast, simple and affordable. It's Italian-engineered by Taumac, sold and serviced in the United States exclusively by Pepetools, and priced to be the best value in its class — period.

Drop a part in the fully open working chamber, click your file, and fire. There's no door to fight, no fragile fixturing, no cryptic menus. Whether you're hallmarking gold, serializing stainless components, or batch-marking tools and tags, the S Compact gets it done in a fraction of the time of older dot-peen or low-end imported lasers.

Lead time: Built to order in Italy — please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Backed by a 1-year warranty and U.S. service from Pepetools.

Why the TauMark S Compact wins

  • Unbeatable value — genuine S-Series marking quality at an entry-level price.
  • Built to mark fast — high pulse frequency (up to 4000 kHz) blazes through text, logos, serial numbers and 2D codes.
  • Open, accessible chamber — load awkward and oversized parts in seconds.
  • Italian quality & build — a calibrated, dust-protected optical path on a rigid aluminium beam for years of reliable, low-maintenance production.
  • Low cost of ownership — maintenance-free ytterbium fiber source, air-cooled, runs on standard 230V.
  • Backed locally — installation, training, parts and warranty all handled by Pepetools in the U.S.

What you can mark — by power

30 W Fiber 60 W MOPA
All common metals — stainless steel, mild steel, brass, copper, aluminum, gold, silver and titanium Everything 30 W does, faster, with adjustable pulse duration for finer control
Permanent black & annealed marks on stainless and titanium Color marking on stainless steel and titanium
Deep engraving on tools, parts and jewelry; precious-metal hallmarking High-contrast marks on anodized aluminum without burning through
Engineered & laser-additive plastics Cleaner marking on plastics and delicate, thin or reflective parts

Software so easy you'll be marking on day one

Most imported lasers ship with clunky, poorly translated software that fights you at every step. TAUMAC software is different. It's a clean, multilingual, fully parameterizable environment that imports the file formats you already use — DXF, DWG, AI, PLT, SVG, JPG and BMP, plus CAD/STL — and generates text, arched text, logos, serial numbers, date codes, counters, barcodes and DataMatrix on the fly. Save your jobs, recall parameters in a click, and put new operators to work in minutes instead of days.

Which configuration is right for you?

Choose your power: 30 W for everyday marking and engraving, or 60 W MOPA for adjustable pulse control — faster throughput, color marking on stainless and titanium, and cleaner results on delicate or reflective parts.

Frequently asked questions

Yes - fiber lasers are ideal for precious metals. The S Compact produces crisp hallmarks, logos, serial numbers and decorative engraving on gold (all karats), silver, platinum and their alloys. A dedicated precious-metal version adds compliant title/hallmark electronic punching via a secure USB token. Very bright, highly reflective pieces simply need the right settings, which our team helps you dial in.
Both are 1064 nm ytterbium fiber lasers. A standard fiber source fires a fixed pulse; a MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) source lets you adjust pulse duration and frequency across a much wider range. That control lets MOPA add color and black marking on stainless and titanium, mark plastics and thin or reflective parts more cleanly, and fine-tune delicate work - while still doing everything a standard fiber does.
For most jewelry marking and engraving, 30 W is fast, precise and excellent value. Choose 60 W MOPA if you want quicker deep engraving, color or annealed marks on stainless and titanium, and the finer pulse control of MOPA for delicate or reflective pieces. If you want maximum versatility and future-proofing, go 60 W MOPA.
Very small parts - ring shanks, charms, earring backs, watch components and findings. The galvo scanner and F160 lens place fine, legible marks on millimeter-scale features, and the optional positioning camera and rotary fixtures make tiny or round parts easy to align.
The enclosed working chamber is 250 x 250 x 310 mm (about 9.8 x 9.8 x 12.2 in, W x D x H), and because there's no front door you can load larger or overhanging pieces. The standard F160 lens marks a 100 x 100 mm field at a time; optional lenses go up to about 230 x 230 mm (F330), and you can reposition the part for larger layouts.
Yes - add the Rotary Axis (Axis R) for full 360-degree wrap-around marking, and the self-centering spindle for fast, repeatable ring loading. Both are in the add-ons below.
Yes. Laser marks are engraved or annealed into the metal itself - not ink or coating - so they withstand wear, cleaning, plating and polishing.
No. TAUMAC software is clean and multilingual, imports DXF, DWG, AI, BMP and JPG, and builds text, logos, serial numbers, dates, barcodes and DataMatrix. Most operators are productive on day one, and Pepetools includes installation and training.
Just standard 230 V (110 V optional) and air cooling - no chiller or special plumbing. We recommend the compact fume extractor to protect the optics and keep your air clean.
Built to order with a 3-4 week lead time. Backed by a 1-year warranty plus U.S. installation, training and service from Pepetools, the exclusive U.S. distributor for Taumac.
