The Blocking Hammer is used to sink metal into a form or a sandbag. The head shape is between the Large Embossing HMR–104 ball and the curved end of the Planishing Hammer HMR–101. The extra weight of this hammer is perfect for blocking bowls or large jewelry shapes while leaving the domed surface relatively smooth.
The special designation is a limited run produced by Bill Fretz, with an extra high polish that requires an enormous amount of time and effort to produce a finish unlike any other hammer currently produced by Fretz. A limited quantity is available - once sold they will not be reproduced.
