Filter Hood for Foredom® Bench Lathe

When polishing, grinding, and sanding. Dust can quickly become a real problem, making a mess all over the work area and becoming a breathing hazard. The Foredom Filter hood addresses this problem by greatly reducing the dust from these operations. A perfect companion to the Foredom Bench lathe, it is suitable for use with a bench polisher, flex shaft, or handheld rotary tool. Even when sanding by hand.

A variable speed heavy duty fan drags the air and pollutants into the unit and the filters scrub out the airborne particles. This greatly reduces dust and fibers, around the work area, creating a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable environment. It includes 2 medium and 1 coarse filter, with spare replacements available.

Pro tip: - if working with precious metals, the filters can be sent to refiners for reclaiming metals caught by the filters.

Built to the usual Foredom quality its constructed of solid, steel with a tough powder-coated finish. For use with 110v and 220V. The unit incorporates a plexiglass screen to protect from flying debris and sparks, A powerful LED lamp on a flexible arm, and a pull-out tray in the base, which is easily removed and cleaned.

The small compact size makes it ideal for moving around the workshop to wherever it is needed. It is small enough to even be used with a flex shaft right on the jewelers' benchtop. Offering powerfully dust extraction wherever you need it.

This compact, powerful filter hood is designed to work with the Foredom® bench lathe. Great when positioned next to the bench lathe but can be moved anywhere on a benchtop for use with a flex shaft or micro-motor. The hood has a variable speed fan that operates on 110 or 220 voltage (controlled by a switch on the side) and offers strong self-contained suction power for removing particles of hazardous dust and reclaiming precious metal.

Made of powder coated, heavy gauge steel and is CE compliant. It has a removable metal water-tight tray, a gooseneck mounted bright, long-lasting LED light, and a clear acrylic shield that flips up and out of the way.

The hood includes two filters—one all-purpose polyester filter (for coarse particles) and one charcoal/polyester combination filter (for medium to fine particles); choose the filter appropriate for the work you're doing and change filters as the work changes. Replacement filters are available separately.
